Where can i go for free gardening advice?

Any independently owed garden center would be more than happy to help you. I don't trust the box stores because you never know what they will tell you. However, with an independent garden center you know you are getting an honest, good answer since they've studied and been in the business to know what will work best for you and your situation. Don't be afraid to ask questions! Trust me, we get hundreds of all types of questions everyday!Where can i go for free gardening advice?
looks like you're getting it right here in yahoo answers.. no?Where can i go for free gardening advice?
Many counties have a Master Gardener program in place, and they have Master Gardeners who can help with plant identification, plant diseases, and pest management. They are trained volunteers who are trained by University Extension programs in most states. You can find them on the Internet by googling Master Gardeners and the name of your state.
Yahoo Groups have quite a few gardening clubs. The people that join the DIY groups are usually pretty knowledgeable and are happy to help. You'll probably even find one in your area, which is helpful when you're selecting plants appropriate for your zone, moisture availability, growing season, soil type...etc. I belong to a home improvement and garage sale Yahoo Group and it's been fun. If you don't like it, you can always drop out of the group.

Have fun and happy gardening!

A great place.

You can check out radio stations in your area that air his show and most libraries carry his books.

Some of the ';tips tricks and tonics'; he recommends seem unusual, but I've tried them and they work.

Many of the things he uses are common household items, but if the problem requires a commercial chemical, he will recommend that as needed.

Disclaimer: I have no stock in or personal ties to any of Jerry

Baker's products. I grew up gardening with my grandma and learned alot from her. Then I heard Jerry Baker on the radio and started incorporating some of his input. I became disenfranchised in college with the amount of chemicals recommended for growing plants and controlling pests. Mr. Baker's down-home advice seems to exhaust all forms of organic treatment for a myriad of problems before going the commercial chemical route.

Good luck and Happy Gardening!!!
