Has anyone had success w/ websites like 鈥淎sk a Lawyer for free advice or a free question and did it help?

I recently used Just Answers with a question about an employment law issue. It cost 拢21 and you get an answer in a couple of hours, which was good. However, because the expert lawyer did not have all my papers in front of him, he was really only able to advise in very general terms, which didn't help me decide whether or not to start legal proceedings against my employers. Also, you have to click a button acknowledging that they have no liability if they screw up a question, which is another reason why I could not use their advice in my decision.
