Where is the best place to find free nutritional advice?

There are a number of websites devoted to nutrition, but quite a few of 'em are full of nonsense, and unless one has prior training in nutrition, it's easy to be befuddled and confused by all the conflicting claims. You really would do much better to spend a few bucks on a book on the topic. Ask the clerk at your local Barnes and Noble what beginner's books on nutrition they stock. If you spend a few bucks, it's money quite well spent. Note that you don't need a college textbook on the subject - those are for professionals and can be pretty darn expensive - mine were! There are also some good magazines that cover various aspects of the topic in each issue. Ask the store clerk - most of those counter-culture, new-age, veggie only magazines are also replete with misinformation and misconceptions regarding nutrition. Or, if you're really concerned, ask a registered dietician, and make sure you see his/her license from the state first! Lots of folks call themselves nutritonists when they ain't no such thing and have an agenda...Where is the best place to find free nutritional advice?
